The  CardioExpress # 44 DARE Stock ran two races this year.

Race 1.

On Sept 1st we hit the track for the first time. We struggled in
three areas: mechanically (no power steering), with our set-up
(much to high in the front end) and I personally struggled to
learn to drive both the car and the track. We accomplished our
goals of getting lap time and learning to drive in traffic.
Unfortunately, our night ended during mid race when the brakes
failed (pedal fell out of plunger sending it straight to the floor).
After a spin and some crazy eights, however, I managed to
coast down pit road none the worse for wear and happy to have
avoided or caused any wrecks.

Race 2.

On Sept 8th we improved our set-up dramatically but once
again ran into mechanical difficulties. We had to contend with
having only one racing gear and the opposite problem with the
brake pedal (the connecting rod that was welded on was too
long causing the brakes to  constantly be 'on' thus forcing the
car to work against itself). Despite those obstacles we were
much quicker in this feature than in the first. I was able to stay
with the main pack primary because I began to learn to drive
into and out of the corners more productively and because we
had good TA horsepower down the straights. Unfortunately,
after driving through four different wrecks we ended the night as
the fifth wreck. I got loose in the speedy dry in between 1 and 2
and over-corrected for it. As a result the car launched into the
wall coming out of two. It was a good hit that stunned me for a
few moments. The hit bent the frame and ended our season
early. But,  we're happy with the year. We've learned a lot about
car prep, put in some lap time, driven in traffic, avoided
numerous wrecks, and put ourselves in a good position to have
a good year in 2007. We'll look forward to seeing you next year. -

8). Too much speedy dry on the track!
9). Here's the CardioExpress car
one lap later, straight into the wall
out of turn two, same as above.
10). Thank God Seth walked away, a
little dazed and confused but he's fine.
11).  The car on the other hand,
wasn't so lucky!!
